Huge game #5 in the National League tonight

This is a fantastic angle game in the National League tonight. The series is tied a 2-2 and Milwaukee played a very solid baseball game yesterday. Not only did they win the game but had a number of well hit balls that did not contribute to any offense.

The Brewers played great defense and after falling behind played very loose the rest of the way. When the Brewers are having fun they really do play their bast baseball. They got contributions all up and down the line up, not just from their stars. In order to win any series at this time of year, you must have the not so known get some big hits.

Yesterday although I had the over, it was great to see the aging Wolf pitch a great ball game. He only game up 2 runs over 7 innings which was the first time he had gone past the 5th inning in 13 starts.

A big part of the win was not only Wolf but the fact that the Brewers did not act like loud mouth punks. They just played happy go lucky baseball and worried about themselves and not their mouths.

Today you have a rematch from game one where Greinke got hit around a bit but got the win. Garcia was not as fortunate, taking the loss for his less then top effort.

This happens to be a rematch angle which is one of the strongest angles in baseball. This is where the same two pitchers that got the win or loss face off in their very next start.

This is also helped by the fact that Milwaukee was the only team to make the playoffs with a sub .500 record on the road during the regular season. this is also true so far in the playoffs. As great as Greinke is at home, he is opposite on the road. This is an odd thing since at home it is a hitters park all the way. Garcia on the other hand has been wonderful at home which does make sense. In St Louis, it is more of a pitchers park.

I have to admit I would usually only be looking to play the Cardinals in this one but Garcia has thrown more overall innings then he has ever thrown at any level. I see runs being scored early and often with the Cardinals bullpen holding it down late.

During the regular season, I would pass the total or play the under. Tonight however it looks to be a higher scoring affair.

Baseball 183-191 +21.65 units
Playoffs 18-13 +9.75 units

ST Louis -120
ST Louis Over 7.5 +115

NCAA Football 35-36 -4.60 units

Hawaii -4 this line is at 5 right now but I will buy to 4. Hawaii should destroy the secondary of San Jose state. The weather is supposed to be decent in San Jose tonight and I can see Hawaii throwing for at least 400 yards. Hawaii also has a slight rushing edge. The reason this makes a difference, is that Hawaii does not run the football often. With that double advantage, running and passing look for a blowout in Northern California.

NHL 0-0 The start of a new season.

San Jose -130 The Sharks are loaded again this year and somehow have gotten better then the team that has made it one step away from the Stanley Cup the last 2 years. The Sharks fans are some the biggest idiots on the hockey planet. That is tough to do with many east coast zanies out there in hockey land.

A quick note here. Look for Lane Kiffen to take a big hit with the crap he pulled with his one year at Tennessee. This guy is a great football coach but he is dirty. He left the Vols holding the bag with his one season of cheating. The NCAA is not done with Lane yet.

I had a friend ask me if Tiger woods would ever win again. The easy answer is of course. the real answer is, until he goes back to Butch probably not. To many swing changes in a relative short amount of time and to many personnel changes that he needs to mentally get rid of. The 2nd thing may take a lifetime to overcome but the going out and just playing golf might be a long way off.

Have a great day
