TO FAN or NOT to FAN ? What a Question!

I have been betting on sports since I was in the 8th grade. Putting my entire bankroll on the Oakland Raiders in the Super Bowl against the Philadelphia Eagles. The bankroll was 100 bucks that I had made on my paper route that month.

The start of a long career that has made me a better person then I would have ever been without sports betting. I learned right then and there that you did not bet on the teams you liked but you would bet to any sort of advantage.

I loved the eagles quarter back and their massive wide out Carmichael. I loved the emotions that their head coach would show and loved those Eagles uniforms. I knew even in 8th grade that the emotional play was the Eagles.

The Raiders had an under rated Jim Plunkett, with his wobble ball. The Raiders had the better defense and speedy wide receivers. I thought, speed kills and I like the Raiders to beat my favorite team.

Probably a lucky albeit solid piece of handicapping. I saw at a young age that the players were not machines. I believe that still plays all these years later. Not only were the statistics favoring Seattle tonight but the{not machine parts} played into Seattle's hands tonight.

Philadelphia has stopped talking to one another. Philadelphia and Seattle were both on short rest. One big problem for Philadelphia, they were the team that had to travel. Going from the East Coast to the West Coast is very tough on the body.

Sad part is for once, I watched all the pre game shows and could not help but laugh at the fact that this fact was not brought up by one expert. There were at least 15 experts that picked Philadelphia tonight. Not one of the ex players who have all been though the wars of a tough NFL season could pick Seattle.

The experts and Ex players reacted as fans and not as the media. You have Seattle, who have been playing better and players still fighting against a team that has given up. Given up on each other and their teams and coaches. They were also tired. Travel, losing and being the golden team, will take it all out of you. Blow out win. SEATTLE.

Here is the question, Can you be a fan of any teams and win at betting on sports?

I have a friend who I have trusted with many of the things that I do to make myself a winning player. I would say 95% of the time I trust his opinion as much as my own. I will probably never pass many of the things I do to anyone other then this man.

The 5%.... There is the rub. When it comes to his favorite teams, things get downright stupid. I do not mean the opinion is wrong or right. I know that it is not the clear and educated opinion that I have come to appreciate from this man. He will angry and loud and it is not any fun at all.

For the most part I have been able to stay away from those favorite teams but it is tough sometimes. He does what many cannot, he will just pass going against his favorite teams. The fact that he does not bet on his team every time, does show that he has restraint.

Most people who lose on a regular basis will have their favorite teams and bet on those teams no matter what. This practice will lead you to lose in the long run. Even if that team does go on an incredible streak and you do make some money on that team, sooner or later that team will go on a losing streak. When this happens, as a fan one will remember that great streak and start to increase the wagers.

With no game plan, the bettor will always go broke. PERIOD.

I am the fan of one team. I am since childhood a San Francisco Giants fan. The sad truth is I will not hesitate to make a wager against my favorite team. Many family members will tell me that it is so sad. I will say that when the Giants won it all in 2010, I cried like a baby. My daughter, son and wife held me as I rejoiced in a lifetime of waiting.

I probably only made 2 bets during that World Series, I went 2-0 and picked up good dog money. I was not sad but as happy as an adult can be. In 2002 in game #7 against the Angels I played the Angels and the under in that game #7. Knowing I would win my bets. With the sad knowledge that history said the Angels were the play. I rooted for my team all the way. I won my bets and had to wait for another time for my team to be champions.

Every other sport I am just a fan of the sport. I believe you cannot have favorite teams all the way across the board and be a winner. At worse you must be able to bet against your favorite team. For some people that is impossible.

Before anyone says I am not a true fan of the San Francisco Giants. My son's name is William Clark Scans.

Always have a plan. Dogs, Favorites, money lines or against the spread. Have your plan. Work your plan and treat any wager as a business.

Milwaukee and ST Louis and coming out party in the NFL

Looks like the bullpens are torched already in this National League series. Both starting pitchers having bad numbers home and away while both offenses score a bunch of runs home and away. This game #2 looks to be another high scoring affair.

I will take a shot with the Cardinals as well. Looking for another crazy game as it looks like the leagues have changed places. Texas and Detroit are going to play low scoring tactical games. Milwaukee and ST Louis are playing 3 run homer ball.

4 plays and a fun day of sports

The San Francisco Giants have waited over a month for Carlos Beltran to show up in San Francisco, well yesterday he did. 4 hits in a game for the first time since 2007 and 3 rbi. The Giants are making their last stand for the season. It should be a fun weekend in San Francisco.

I put out Northwestern this morning at +3.5. They did not have their star quarterback. That does not matter. QBs, running backs and other star players, sometimes do not matter. The only place on the football field I will not mess with is Center. The center controls all line calls and movement.

I have 3 other plays today in College Football I will add them here after the kickoffs of said games. Bob Scans is simply the best football handicapper in the country. Sorry a little shout out there.

No baseball today. This is just a tough time of year to bet any baseball. Every now and again I will find a good one in September but for now enjoy your College sports.

Play as a TEAM and be a winner. Baseball plays for Tuesday 8/30/2011

Teams that do not have hitters who can hit 20 to 30 home runs in a season must do the little things perfect. When a lead off hitter gets on base, steals a base with no outs, what must the next batter do? The next hitter must lay down a bunt, hit a long fly ball or hit a grounder to the right side. Do not hit a off the plate pitch hard to the shortstop. Ok so that's one out and a runner on 2nd. Up steps the highest paid player on the team who will get paid 15-18 million a year on his next contract. Well he swings at the first pitch, which would have been a ball. 2nd pitch almost hits this batter but he is swinging. 3rd pitch goes off the plate and because the shortstop is out of position, the superstar swings at should have been ball 4. 3 pitches and all out of the strike zone. YOUR OUT. Of course the next guy swings at 2 balls and hits a long fly ball to the deepest part of the yard.

What should have happened. The 2nd hitter hits a ground ball to 2nd base and the runner goes to 3rd with one out. The Super Star takes a few pitches and works a nice walk. The 4th place hitter, who is hitting over 300 for the year. Well he hits the long fly ball and TEAM scores a run, playing team baseball.

I watch games from all over the country everyday and all players care about in to many cases is their own stats that bring the TEAM down. It is sad that unless you are a really big time player that you do not put the TEAM first.

The team I am talking about won it all last year and did all the little things right. No egos got in the way of this team doing all they could to just win. Amazingly while playing as a TEAM, the group as a whole had a decent year hitting. Nothing special but with no STARS that is the way it had to be done. Back to my point. Because of mental breakdowns and selfish players a good man and a good hitting coach will be fired. The players will get paid their millions and not give this coach a second thought.

It happens all over baseball and the teams that play as a TEAM are the teams that can shock the world.

Started with a list of 10 possible plays for this weekends college football. Getting the information I need from the people closest to some of the key players in these match ups. Will also look for line moves with or against us. Hopefully I can land on just a handful of plays that will get the season off to the right start.

I will give this Thursday play right now........Bowling Green +7.5

All other plays will be posted right after kickoff.

The Irish top 15, WHAT THE %#@$%$#@#

I was having a heated talk with someone I have much respect for today and the conversation came to Suh for the Detroit Lions. My friend was talking anout what a clown Suh was for his hit last week in his preseason game which did go over board and did get mister Suh s 20,000 fine. I believe that it was a calculated hit that was made to get his team to recognize the fact that the Lions are no ones whipping bot any longer. The message was we hit hard, play hard and we win. Period. The Lions have put all the pieces of the puzzle together and have built a ton of talent at the skill position.

My friend was saying it was a clown move and should not have been done which in most cases I would agree but the losing has to stop in Detroit.

The Lions if they keep their mind in the right place can win 10 games this year and the chips must fall where they fall. Losing is not fun and a storied franchise has spent 20 years being the class clown. Things will get serious this year and as usual in the NFL, the defense leads the way.

In college football watch out for BYU. Wow, many returning starters and a ton of talent but in the first few weeks the test will come right out of the gate. If they get those wins it could be a very nice season messing up the whole B.C.S picture. I for one hope they do. The powers get taken out all the time in March Madness, why not college football. B.Y.U and the ever loaded Boise State team can make it really tough for the big schools.

I was looking at Notre Dames 15th place ranking in the ESPN magazine and was a little shocked. There is really no reason that the fighting Irish are ready for any kind of a run. Good coaching change to a good coach but there is a lot to do. Like getting these kids to buy into yet another coach. I do not see top 30 no less top 15. With calls like that it looks like another great wagering season.

Really JACK!!! Much respected manager a jerk

The first time up Brian Vogelsong is thrown at up and in all the way to head high. 2nd time up Brian almost gets hit at shoulder high. 3rd and final at bat the Marlins for no reason at all hit Brian on his throwing elbow. Brian raises the bat over his head and slams it to the ground. He glares out at the mound and for just a moment it looks as though he wants to go out to the mound. Marlins catcher and the umpire gets in the way and Brian says that is the 3rd time, whats going on? Cooler heads prevail and Brian goes to first base.

The Giants are upset but nothing happens. The media says it could be about the Buster Posey thing. Uh it was another Giant getting hurt and the Giants have not hit any Marlins in any of the games that the teams have played. The Giants have handled their star player who was in the middle of a 13 game hitting streak, when a close to dirty play took Buster out for the year. I was one who at first watching said nothing dirty at all. A friend of mine who is not a Giants fan at all told me to watch the replay again. I watched and saw that if the runner had not bounced off of Buster he could not have come near touching the plate. Not cool but part of the game.

Now you have Jack speaking post game. He says why are the Giants upset? Well Jack it would be pure bullshit if the Giants lost the 10-2 All-Star who happens to lead the league in E.R.A and has been a big part of keeping the Giants alive. Maybe if Vogelsong had not been thrown at 3 times in a row he may have not reacted to the bush league crap the Marlins have been pulling. Since the Posey thing, the Marlins have hit a number of Giants hitters and in a show weakness or class the Giants have done nothing to any Florida Marlins.

Jack then goes on to mis pronounce the 10-2 pitchers name who happens to have the lowest E.R.A in the National league. He goes on to call him Volkswagon or who ever that guy is. Have a little class Jack! You are 80 and a great manager but you could act like an adult with a little class. I used to have a ton of respect for Jack, now he is just over the hill and a bitter old man. Jack sitting there saying that pitchers of the past would have really hit the guy. No in the past a pitcher who is 10-2 and has the lowest E.R.A in the league, would have the whole team would have charged the mound. Be a man Jack, have some class and say sorry to the Giants as a class club.

Who says there is no JUSTICE

As Adam Scott surged into a tie for the lead, Tiger sinks back to Florida and the round is not even over. Stevie Williams has just got to be loving the demise of his former boss as he takes his player to great heights.

Pittsburgh will have their last stand this weekend. Even with a sweep it may be to much to overcome. It would be nice for the Pirates to put up a last fight for this season, nothing but a sweep will do.

The Giants need to at least take 2 out of 3 from the Marlins. Next are the Astros and nothing but a sweep will feel good to the stalling Giants.

The sad case of mister Tiger Woods

Have to wonder on this fine Monday, after Tiger finished 36th at the WGC event. How the media is going to make excuses. Going into the tournament I was the only person willing to say he was going to fall flat on his face. The Golf Channel had Tiger finishing in the top 10. Colin Cowherd was again singing the praises of Tiger saying he wouldn't be surprised to see Tiger contend. Because it is Tiger.

Tiger is no longer Tiger. He will go down as one of the top 2 players of all time and arguably the best of all time. It has all passed him by at a young age and his lifestyle or the outing of how he lived his life may be to much to overcome.

I thought when the announcement of the firing of Stevie Williams, was going to be the retirement of Tiger. Alas like so many other money making athletes, sounds like his debt is going to make him keep playing. With the divorce costing him in upwards of 100 million and the loss of now 6 sponsors takes its toll on the wallet.

He will play every tournament that is still willing to pay him a fee to just show up. After all that has gone on he is wiling to show up down under in a few weeks to collect his 10 million dollar fee. Now he is like anyone else and has to collect all he can to pay for his lifestyle.

Then there is this.....Adam Scott won the event this week! His caddy Stevie Williams. Gotta love the irony of that.

Jerry Meals....;Be a man and admit mistake.

Well it has been a long road back, but now on the plus side of the ledger after a nice night in baseball. Jim Joyce made a bad call last year that cost a young man a perfect game but at least the play was bang, bang and Mister Joyce quickly said he had made a mistake. Jerry meals not only missed the play of the game in the Pirates and Braves game yesterday, but his strike zone was so bad all night that the Braves Manager and star catcher were tossed out of the game. Jerry Meals couldn't even admit making an error and by not taking full care of his actions, he makes all umpires look bad. I have to admit I am in the minority, I do not believe that replay must be expanded. I believe, as an umpire you have to get it right. The Pirates have a great chance to win their division and be the Giants of this baseball season. Hopefully this pathetic call will not stop the Pirates in their tracks and once again make them believe that they are losers. The Pirates do have a fine young group and a wonderful bullpen, but most of all a great manager who has been through many situations, good and bad. Clint Hurdle will hopefully hold this group together and not let them dwell on ones mans wondering eye.

There are 30 teams in all of baseball and as of today, 16 teams have a chance to win their division. I cannot remember the last time this late in a season that over half of all of baseball has a chance to make the playoffs by winning their division. I haven't even done the research on the wild card, but I would say that probably brings a few more teams into play. It is great that baseball matters in so many cities as football once again is on the front page. Pay attention to teams like the Pittsburgh Pirates, Cleveland Indians, Arizona Diamondbacks, Minnesota Twins after they were at one time close to 20 games out of it but are now only 7 games back. It is a good thing when baseball matters.

Funny things happen this time of year in baseball. Look at the Padres beating the Phillies yesterday or a couple days ago when the Cubs beat Roy Halladay. Situations happen all the time, the question as a handicapper is can you find these money making situations?

The cream will rise or spoil

A great time in the baseball season, as the real deal teams will rise up or get crushed by the stress of winning. You will see pitchers that are in the middle great seasons struggle, and you will see some middle of the road players step up and carry their teams to glory. Can the Brewers ACE come thru for his new team and be that missing piece for Milwaukee's high powered offense? Will the Pirates keep playing as well as any Pirate team since 1979 or will their youth become youthful? Can Arizona continue to play to their managers approval or will losing thoughts creep into the Diamondbacks way of doing things. Can Cincinnati rise and overcome inconsistent play or will they fade to black as the season rolls on. There are many other questions but one thing is for sure, it is going to be a great run down the stretch this baseball season. I didn't even mention those upstart Cleveland Indians!

The Perfect example, Human not Machines

Yesterday Roy Halladay was on the mound and showed that players are human and not machines! People played the Phillies and lost a lot of juice, with the better pitcher and team losing rather easily. Roy couldn't bare the heat, as anyone of us might not deal with such heat. He looked average at best and only lasted 4 innings. That was his shortest outing in years. It turns out that he gives up almost 2 runs a start more in the heat then at any other time. This proved that these guys are human and you can't just plug them in and the same guy will show up every time. The weak handicapper will cry foul here a say fix. Nope, it was just to hot. Little situations like this happen everyday and your job as a winning player is to find these nuggets before the game is played.

What a day, What a day

Sunday was a great day for the underdog. The British Open won by the Cigar smoking slow walking, Pint drinking.... Darren Clark. He did everything right. He withstood two real challenges from Lefty and D.J. Both of whom ha a real chance to win this thing, but no matter how much they tried Darren would not make a mistake and steady as is goes put out the fireworks from the talented Americans. Great win for the man, a great win for golf an another sign that Tiger is not needed.

The World Cup was won by the grief filled Nation of Japan, who as there people have shown the pride of a people the woman's soccer team was not to be denied, even by the mighty Americans. The Americans had this thing won twice with under 10 minutes to go, but Japan would not give up and in the end had more energy overall and got the much deserved win!!!

Yesterday was a wonderful day in baseball and after a long tough stretch, winning has finally become the norm rather then the hope.

Sunday looks like a huge sports day. British Open as well.

It has been 12 years since the U.S.A women took down the World Cup and now it is time to do it again. The draw and upsets that happened along the way, set up the U.S.A to have a big win today.

Baseball on Friday was a solid 2-1 and today I look to get back to even after a rough stretch. As I say all along, just stay with it and in the long run with solid handicapping and a steady diet of underdogs you will be a winner.

Do not forget to enjoy the British Open this morning. No picks but what a great number of stories to watch. Clark, can he get his first major at 41 after losing his wife 5 years ago. It would also give 3 Northern Ireland players with Majors. Fowler with all of his promise and flamboyant play at such a young age, is again playing steady and well beyond his years. Bjorn will he put other nightmares behind him and grind out a much needed redemption win. Phil has not made a short putt all week and he is still in the hunt. One hot putter round and it is another major for Phil. Another major and another reason to not care if Tiger comes back or not. to many great stories and just enough drama to give a shit if Tiger comes back. I am very tired of the media saying every week how the real number one player is Tiger Woods. Not true, he has no glare or growl left and no one is scared of the kitten any longer.

Let's get to the All-Star break on an UP note

I had said it before it got really bad, as I said the shit was going to slam the fan at THE Ohio State university. All of last years wins gone, Coach gone, I will stay just let me play in the Bowl Game player GONE.

The NCAA is going to probably ban Ohio State from post season for at least 2 years and a number of scholarships will be yanked.

THE Ohio State university is in a lot of trouble and the NCAA is going to pound them in the head. They knew players were getting benefits outside of the school and other things will come out. The school is using Jim Tressel as a scape goat and he will be blamed for everything.

Jim did know, but so did the higher ups and it will all come out.

Baseball, losing in many ways as of late. Losing 1-0 games, blowing 2 run leads in the 9th and the best bullpen in baseball gives up 3 in the 9th of a tie ball game. Holy cow batman a little luck would help solid handicapping.

Hot teams good odds and a winning Friday

Baseball has been very tough the last 5 days with only one winning day and it was not even a full unit. Today I concentrated on hot teams and even pitching match ups, along with hot hitting. Should be a very big day. Wednesday was so tough with two 1-0 losses and two 2-1 losses and a extra inning loss.

Baseball Overall 44-59 -7.70 units Most handicappers would not put their real record when things are going bad but It Is what It Is. I have not had a losing baseball season in 12 years and I do not plan on losing this year. The All-Star break is coming at the right time for the players and myself.

Philadelphia Phillies +145 Kendrick can hold his own with a 4-4 record and a 3.23 E.R.A. On the other side of it Romero is coming off his best outing of the year but it was deceptive, their were a lot of base runners and the other team could not cash in. Romero has a 7-7 record and a very nice E.R.A of 2.74. With a 7-7 record he is not getting a lot of run support. Philadelphia is 6-4 last 10, while the Blue Jays are 4-6 last 10. Toronto has a home record of only 18-20, and Philadelphia is two games over .500 on the road. This looks like a nice situation play for the fighting Phils.

Pittsburgh Pirates +130 Davey Johnson doesn't seem to have that old Mets magic. He arrived with a team that was the hottest in all of baseball and now they have lost 3 in a row. What can you say about Pittsburgh? Two games over .500 and only 2 games out of first. Morton for Pittsburgh has a very nice 7-4 record and another pitcher with a solid E.R.A of 3.77. Washington has Gorzelanny on the bump and he has been snake bit. He is only 2-6 with a 4.18 E.R.A and he has deserved a better record. Going against the team in a little bit of turmoil and playing the hot hand.

San Francisco Giants +120 The Giants have lost two tough games in a row but have a very nice 7-3 record over the last 10. Amazingly the Giants are 2 games over .500 since Buster Posey went down for the season, how good would they be if he had been healthy. The Tigers bullpen is chewed up right now giving up 24 runs in two games to a weak hitting team. The Tigers only 5-5 last 10 and as the season has gone along Brad Penny is getting hit a little harder with every start. Penny has a 5-6 record and a 4.66 E.R.A. Bumgarter has a 4-9 record but a respectable E.R.A of 3.84. That E.R.A is that low after Minnesota 2 starts ago put 9 earned runs up against him. He came right back in his next start, threw a shutout and punched out 11 for a career high. I am going with the better pitcher but more important then that is the fact that Tigers Stadium is much like the park that the Giants pitchers are used.

Cleveland Indians +120 This is a very nice match up with a two teams in the same state and surprisingly both teams are fighting for a division title. It looked like the Indians were folding the tent about 2 weeks ago but have stayed in the race, only half a game back of the Detroit Tigers. The Indians have the upper hand on the mound today, with Masterson and his smooth E.R.A of 2.98. For the Reds Arroyo is not having a good year in the E.R.A department with a 5.01, but a very lucky record of 7-6.

ST Louis Cardinals +125 I think many people were counting the Cards all but done for the year, and what do they do? Get hot that is what. Winning 3 in a row while the Brewers lost 3 in a row and your looking at a tie on top of the National League Central. The strange Part about the Tampa Bay Rays is that they are under .500 at home and crushing it on the road by going 26-16. The Cardinals on the other hand are a solid 23-20 on the road, and seem to have the advantage by playing at Tampa. Westbrook had a very bad stretch but in his last start was like the Westbrook of old. I will take the hot team with their ace on the mound looking to keep his team rolling.

Atlanta Braves -170 This is a rarity for me, playing such a big favorite. The situation dictates that I play this game though. Atlanta has won 3 in a row and are favored at home which is a very strong angle by itself. When you add in the fact that Baltimore has lost 3 in a row, the play becomes that much stronger. The two teams are going in different directions, with the Braves being 8-2 over the last 10 and Baltimore only going 4-6 over the same span of games. The pitching, Bats and bullpen all favor the Braves.

Florida Marlins +165 For the Marlins they have their only pitcher who has not been hard luck johnny. Sanchez has a solid 6-1 record and a respectable E.R.A of 2.82. The fish have won two in a row and they are another team that plays better on the road then at home. All things being even the plus 165 catches the eye.

Kansas City Royals/Colorado Rockies Over 10 -110 It seems to me that a first time team going to Colorado has a difficult time learning how to pitch there. Going to Colorado also has a knack for getting visitors to put up more runs then they usually score. Both starters have been beat up and the bullpens have been beat up, so I look for about 13 or 14 runs to be scored here.

Minnesota Twins +110 Every time I count the Twins out they go on a winning streak. It is only a 2 game streak right now but they are catching the Brewers at the right time. Milwaukee has lost 3 in a row and are only 4-6 in the last 10 games. Milwaukee also has one of the worst road records in all of baseball, going 15-27.

Arizona Diamond Backs -115 Another Favorite but again a worthy one. It is indeed rare when I take a team that hits well over a good pitching team. Oakland is just plain sick with the sticks, and that will not do against this Arizona team.

Los Angeles Angels +100 Hot verses cold again, with the odds being in favor of the hot team. The Angels have won 3 in a row and will probably be a slight favorite by game time. A very strong angle. The Dodgers have lost two in a row and are only 5-5 in their last 10 games. Kuroda has been very good E.R.A wise with a solid 3.10 but gets little to no run support. His record of 5-9 shows that the Dodgers just do not hit for Kuroda.

San Diego Padres +125 If you are going to play the Padres this is the time to do it. San Diego has won 4 in a row and have a 7-3 over their last 10 games. Seattle has lost 3 in a row with their best pitchers on the mound so that tells us that the bats have gone cold. The Mariners are only 3-7 their last 10 games. Take the hot dog.

Best plays....Atlanta...Angels.....Padres.....

I know most people do not like playing 12 games but to me a play is a play. If that is one play in a day or 12.

Have a great day

Yesterday a nightmare, I deserved it though with 4 favorites and nothing going right late in games. You move on and make sure you put yourself in position to win.

Baseball plays for Monday

I must have a fever because I have a number of favorites today and yesterday I went 2-0 with favorites.

Baseball

40-44 +2.60 units

Colorado -120 The Rockies hovering around .500 on the road and very happy to leave New York. Today they have a positive pitching match up and although they have lost 2 in a row, the Rockies are 6-4 over their last 10 games. The Cubs are a pathetic 16-22 at home and are already looking to next year.

Toronto/Detroit Over 9.5 -110 Scherzer for the Tigers is 9-3 but doing it with smoke and mirrors with an E.R.A close to 5.00. While the Blue Jays pitcher will be lucky to get thru 5 innings and that leaves the game up to a suspect bullpen. Both teams are on mini winning streaks right now and should be confident at the plate.

Tampa Bay -125 The only bad part of this play is the Rays are only a .500 team at home. The Rays come home on a 4 game winning streak and are 8-2 over their last 10. The Reds to this point in interleague play have only won 2 games and are only 4-6 over their last 10 games. The pitching match up favors the Rays and this will be a surface switch game for the reds after playing a number of games outside. The Reds will take at least a game to acclimate to playing in the dungeon.

Minnesota -115 This homestand is going to make or break the Twins season. They were the hottest team in baseball for over a month but trips to San Francisco and Milwaukee produced a 1-5 record. Although the Twins have lost their last 5 games they still are 5-5 in their last 10 games. The Dodgers got a small confidence boost yesterday but they still cannot hit the ball worth a hill of beans, rarely scoring more then 3 runs in a game. The Twins finally are playing a team where they have the better starting pitcher and bats that are better then their opponent.

Kansas City +130 Here we have the meek playing the meek. The odds make up the difference and a rare play on the Royals is the way to go.

Washington +125 I always make a play on the new manager when their is a change. The players will want to show their new boss that they are as hot as it seems on paper. It also helps that the Angels lost a game they had won yesterday in the other teams last at bat. This is a hangover play one of the most powerful plays in all sports. Lannan for Washington has been very good his last few outings and always will go deep into the game. The bullpen for the Nationals is rested and ready if needed. It also helps that the Angels have about the same record as do the Nationals, Home/Away.

Have a great day.
