The Bowls are as cold as ICE and that will not last. Join this late Party!!!

The Bowl games have started with a very tough 2 wins 4 losses. All losses a score away from a cover. The very small favorites are winning and that usually does not happen. I really cannot say enough about this Sunday in the NFL.

There are so many teams alive or kinda alive, it;s gonna be a crazy scoreboard watching Sunday for many teams.

I hope some of you had the chance to take a look at fullcardreports.com. The very first day of Santa Anita had a very nice everyday easy play on fullcardreports.com. A 12-1 shot that at first glance anyone looking at the reports would have been able to at worse have the winner. Following easy betting instructions, one would have made a very nice score. Win Bet, Exacta, Trifecta and a few other exotics. Do not play the races unless you have fullcardreports.com.

Tonight 81-66 NCAA Football plays

Air Force +3

Air Force Over 70

California +4

I can tell you this, so far in the NFL for Sunday I have ONE very strong perfect play.

Dallas Cowboys +3 A NFC East dog is never a tough call. Those dogs tend to win at an amazing clip this year.

I do not have a favorite team in the NFL and could care less about who wins this game and goes to the playoffs. I say this so everyone knows that there is NONE emotion with this top play.

Have a great day.

The results are winning and the handicapping solid

A very nice Christmas Eve result. 3 wins 1 loss and another great set of games for the last NFL regular season weekend of the year. It is great that so many teams have everything to play for in the last week of the season.

The up coming Bowl Games will make you a ton of cash to pay off all your credit card bills. I have a handful of double plays and 10 other very strong plays that will go off in the next 9 or 10 days.

Tonight look for Atlanta to put up a valiant fight to make the playoffs. The Saints are probably the best team in football right now, but that seems to change every few weeks.

The masses would love to see the Patriots against the Packers in a shoot out for the Super Bowl but there those out there that wouldn't mind seeing great defense and running the ball at a premium with the Forty Niners against the Ravens. How ever it works out the playoffs will be a wonderful ride.

NFL 46-33

2 weeks to go and most games are relavent.

Happy Holidays. I do hope everyone has a swell holiday in whatever way it is celebrated. Today we have a great slate on NFL games to choose from. A very rare thing with only 2 weeks left in the season.

NFL 43-33 one unit plays

NFL 10-6 Two unit plays

Oakland Raiders +3 The Kansas City Chiefs spoiled the Packers perfect season with a wonderful game plan to stop the Packers. The Chiefs also killed the Raiders in Oakland in the first meeting between these to biter rivals. I look for the Raiders to establish their run game early and then have a few big plays with play action as the game goes along. With Kansas City celebrating like they had won the Super Bowl last week....It is a huge letdown situation!!! Kansas City is now favored by 3 points and with the big win last week and the Raiders losing streak the public will be all over the Chiefs. A solid one unit play.

Miami Dolphins +10 This is another chance for a reversal of fortune game. The Patriots truly crushed the Dolphins in the first match up. The Dolphins have a very solid defense, that has gotten better as the season has gone along. The quarterback play has also been getting better as the season has moved along. The Patriots are running on all cylinders, but they do have some gaping holes in the defense. Although Denver ended up losing in a big way to the Patriots, Early on Denver ran for close to 200 yards in the first half alone. Denver fumbled 3 times in a row and the game was done. With the problems on defense the Patriots will have a tougher time with a well balanced offense by Miami. A nice one unit selection on the Miami Dolphins.

San Diego Chargers +3 December is here and the Chargers are once again looking to save their season by sweeping the December games. The Chargers have been winning rather easily the last few weeks. Once Rivers stopped throwing picks, his team started winning. The Lions won again last week by coming from behind. The Raiders weakness is their pass defense and that's all the Lions can do. Throw, throw, throw. The Lions gave up a ton of yards and before the last 2 drives in the Oakland game Stafford was getting a beating. It can be said that the Chargers right now are a better football team all around then the Raiders, this will prove to be the undoing of the Lions and their single minded offense. Balance wins late in the season and the Chargers have balance on both sides of the ball. A big 2 unit play on the San Diego Chargers.

San Francisco Forty Niners -1 This game has the look of Vegas begging everyone to play on San Francisco. This looks to be a tough spot for San Francisco. They beat Pittsburgh last week in a very physical game. A short week and Seattle is a very hot team right now. A funny thing has happened in Vegas. The public has jumped all over Seattle. I went from seeing a tough situation to looking at the how Seattle has been winning their games. Seattle has been rushing the football at a rapid rate. Lynch has had big games and with all that running even the Seattle quarterback is hitting just enough big plays to be a winner. San Francisco only gives up 70 yards a game and if they stuff the run interceptions will follow. This game is a reverser play.
A solid one unit selection on the San Francisco Forty Niners.

If you play the horse races you must goto fullcardreports.com. the best horse racing program on the market. You can adapt it to your style of play and in a glace you will understand the pace of the race and which horses are best suited for that race. I happen to play they way that fullcardreports suggest that you play and it has been very profitable.

Have a great day.

You cannot lose with Fullcardreports.com, free sports picks!!!

Sunday was a bit of a Debbie Downer, but a nice rebound on Monday. Now the NFL stands at 43-32 regular plays.
10-6 Top plays.

I usually do not play the under in a game. It is just to tough to watch but that was the 2nd under that I have played all year and I am 2-0. The other was L.S.U at Alabama. That number was in the 40s and the books had to circle the game. Which meant limited amounts of wagers, and the books thought they had a bad number. They really did have a bad number and got cracked by a lot of bettors.

NCAA Football regular plays 81-64
NCAA Football Top plays 21-21

Bowl games 2-1 included in the above records.

Florida International today at -4. I love those small schools. The only game I lost so far with the Bowls is Utah State. They looked the better team the whole game and just couldn't finish the job.

I can say there will not be many plays on Saturday or Sunday in the NFL coming up. A very tough week for what I do.

I do very well with the races and this is the only reason I have hit some huge tickets in the last 2 years. fullcardreports.com

For 28 bucks a month it is the best program that you will ever have and you will no longer have to buy a form or a program. It pays for itself just for that. I suggest you watch as many of the videos that you possibly can.

The videos will teach you how to bet and what to look for and how to key long shots. I have hit a 20,000 50 cent pick four last year and a number of other huge tickets. You will also have a real sense as when you can play a first time starter with confidence. in that pick 4, I singled a 100 horse in the 2nd leg. I singled the horse with great confidence.

By far and away the best of the best. No hidden fees and you can learn as much as you can with the Videos and a angle book so you will not miss a trick. John will answer any questions you have and he has always gotten back to me within an hour of any email. fullcardreports.com. Be a winner.

20 teams alive and 3 weeks to go. HOW FUN IS THIS

As a sports handicapper, I will give you the number one advice you will ever get. This advice will save you hundreds, thousands or with big bettors millions! Here it is folks.

Just because a team has to win does not mean that the team will win or cover!!!

AFC

The AFC is as wild as it gets this late in a season. You have 9 teams alive for 6 spots. Two of the divisions are all wrapped up. The Houston Texans(10-3) with all of their injury problems have won their division. The Texans also have a great chance to be the number one seed.

The New England Patriots(10-3) have a two game lead with 3 games left to play, so they are locked in. It is a matter of do they have enough to get that number 1 seed.

The Baltimore Ravens(10-3) are tied for the top spot in their division with the Pittsburgh Steelers(10-3) but with the Ravens beating Pittsburgh twice, it gives the Ravens the lead for the division title.

The Denver Bronco's(8-5) have come from nowhere to take a one game lead over the Oakland Raiders(7-6). This is really a 2 game lead with other tie breakers. The Bronco's will face their toughest challenge during the winning streak coming up on Sunday. The New England Patriots come calling and Denver might not be able to keep up with the Patriot fireworks show.

Here is where it gets very interesting. The 2 wildcards will come from these 6 teams. N.Y Jets(8-5) and since their coach said they were going to win it all, it is a must to get to the playoffs. Pittsburgh Steelers(10-3) Only thing holding them back from their own title is the 2 losses to the Baltimore Ravens. Cincinnati Bengals(7-6) They may have ruined their dreams with that heart breaking loss against Houston last week. Tennessee Titans(7-6) If the referee had seen the easiest face mask call in the history of the NFL, the Titans would be in a much better position. Oakland Raiders(7-6) The last thing I would have thought I would write about the Oakland Raiders is that they have no heart. To no show 2 weeks in a row, with the talent that Hugh has brought in to make the playoffs now....Is shameful. There has been injuries and the star quarterback is learning on the fly, but the moves made for this team are for now. San Diego Chargers(6-7) Some how some way the Chargers never go away.

Who will have the best chance to wrap up those 2 spots? In no order, let's see what we can figure out with this wild bunch.

Pittsburgh Steelers 10-3 With 3 games left Pittsburgh probably only needs one more win to secure a playoff spot. San Francisco(10-3) comes up this Monday, this will be their toughest contest. Both teams have a lot to play for and it will be a full throttle game. The Rams(2-11) come up next and the back ups could beat the Rams. They finish up with Cleveland(4-9)which will be a good game. When Pittsburgh goes up against the Browns, it is always closer then it should be. That game will also depend on if the Steelers have a chance to win their division.

New York Jets 8-5 With 3 games left, the Jets are the front runner for one of the spots. The Jets have the Philadelphia Eagles(5-8) The Eagles have a little something to play for, which will mean they will be playing for keeps. The Jets should be able to get by the Eagles and as a 3 point dog I do have a nice play on the Jets. The Jets next game is against the New York Giants(9-7) who are in the middle of their own playoff battle. The Giants have a very tough time running the football and will have to rely on the pass. The Jets have not had the greatest defensive year, this game will go down to the wire. The last game for the Jets is the Miami Dolphins(4-9). The Dolphins have no coach, no chance of getting Luck in the draft and not a lot to play for. I see the Jets finishing the season at 10-6. That is a magic number to make the playoffs in years past. Last year for the first time in the history of the league 2 teams with 10 wins did not make the playoffs. 10-6 this year will get a team into the dance, so go J....E....T....S

Cincinnati Bengals 7-6 With 3 games left the Bengals will have to win at least 2 of those games. The Bengals have had a very tough few weeks. They are playing well enough to win every game but they are not finishing games off. The Bengals have done enough to save their head coaches job, now they have to make the playoffs. The Bengals do have a good offense, which is very young and this group will build into something good over the next few years. The Cincinnati defense is no wimp. They only give up 21 points a game and barley 100 yards on the ground. The ST Louis Rams(2-11) are first on the list and that is a good thing for their chance at the playoffs. the Rams are not playing well enough in any faze of the game to hang with the Bengals. The 2nd game for the Bengals is the must have game. Arizona(6-7) is playing the best that they have played all year. The Cardinals just came off of a must win against the Forty Niners to keep their playoff long shot hopes alive. The best part for Cincinnati is they are getting Arizona at home. This is one of those games that will go down to the wire. Of course the toughest game of the 3 comes last. Baltimore(10-3) might be fighting for their division life or an outside shot at a top seed or a 2nd seed. The best thing for Cincinnati would be for the Ravens to have nothing to play for. The way I see it, Cincinnati finishes with a 9-7 record. It will be a coin flip situation to see if that is good enough to get the final spot.

Tennessee Titans 7-6 With 3 games left, the Titans hit a road block when the face mask that wasn't ....well was not called. It cost the Titans the chance to tie the game. They may have not gone on to get the job done against the Saints but it would have been nice to have it done right. The 0-13 Colts are up first for the Titans. That game should be a win. Not much more to say about that weak game. The 2nd game up is Jacksonville, another game that the Titans should get an easy win. The last game for the Titans will be their toughest task. Houston(10-3)If the number one seed is all wrapped up this could be a wonderful chance for the Titans to finish 3-0 over the last three weeks of the season. To bad for them that might not be enough to get the job done. I believe that the Titans will sweep the last three games and end their season at 10-6! If this does happen then we will have a team between Pittsburgh, NY Jets and Tennessee that have 10 wins or more and miss the dance.

Oakland Raiders 7-6 With 3 games left I said before the season that Oakland would not win more then 7 games. With the gutsy moves that this team has made, I honestly hope that I was wrong. This is a team that even sweeping the last 3 games of their season, will need help from Denver or the other 4 teams I have mentioned above. The entire Raider season will come down to this weeks game against the Lions(8-5) The bad part for the Raiders is they give up a ton yards via the pass and that is all the Lions can do. They will have to have a balanced attack with the running game leading the way. The more rest that the defense gets, the better chance they will have to slow down the Lion offense. The Kansas City Chiefs(5-8) are next for the Raiders. The Raiders should be able to win easily against the Chiefs. If the don't care Oakland team shows up then they will lose this game and the next. The last game for Oakland is against the ever rising Chargers(6-7). The Raiders almost have to hope that San Diego is out of it. I have a feeling , if the Chargers are alive the raiders will bet blown out of the stadium. I see the Raiders finishing at 8-8. Then they will have to build with free agents and trades. The Raiders got rid of any draft pick with these trades that will have gotten nothing done.

San Diego Chargers 6-7 With Baltimore Ravens(10-3) this week it all comes down to this week. They will not get a wild card berth. They have one chance. They have to have Denver and Oakland tank. Then they must sweep the board. I see them ending the season at 8-8 like the Oakland Raiders.

The way we see it.

AFC Division Winners

East...New England Patriots 12-4
North....Baltimore Ravens 12-4
South....Houston Texans 13-3
West....Denver Broncos 10-6

AFC Wild Card Winners

Pittsburgh Steelers 12-4
In this case Baltimore will have the same record but Pittsburgh lost to the Ravens twice. That will give the division title to the Ravens.

New York Jets and Tennessee Titans 10-6 This will cause another 10-6 team to miss the playoffs. In most cases 10 wins is more then enough to get you invited to the dance.

NFC

The NFC has a total of 11 teams involved in the chase for the Superbowl. Funny part is the top team of all top teams is in the NFC. There will be little argument that the Green Bay Packers are riding very high. I am a handicapper that really does believe in defense and controlling the game on the ground. Both on offense and defense. It is very tough for me to see a one sided team rule the football world. I believe their offense is incredible. They can almost score at will via the air. I also believe that you have to be able to close out a game by grinding out a few late game first downs. The packers have figured out how to do this by really using their short passing game as a running game. The Packers give up 21 points a game and over 100 yards a game on the ground. This means that teams can move the football on them. You would not see stats like this on a team that is going to go 16-0. There is no doubt about this outcome. With who they play the last 3 games they will not have to play their starters to get the job done. There is no doubt in my mind that the Packers will not win the Superbowl or get to the big game.

The Green Bay Packers 13-0 With 3 games remaining versus weak teams, it looks like an easy 16-0 regular season. Your number one seed and more then deserving.

San Francisco Forty Niners 10-3 With 3 games left the Niners have a lot to play for and a chance to get the 2nd seed. This week San Francisco has a very strong test with Pittsburgh coming to town. With San Francisco it is pace makes the game. In a tight game with few points scored the Niners can get a lead and their great defense can shut any team down. I see the Niners finishing at 12-4.

New Orleans Saints 10-3 With 3 games left the Saints are in the drivers seat over the Atlanta Falcons. The only winning team that they play is the Atlanta Falcons. With Minnesota and Carolina as the only other teams they have to face, the division looks to be the Saints. We see the Saints ending at 12-4.

New York Giants 7-6 In the NFC East. The division that no team wants. On a weekly basis the division is given to one team or another. At the start of the year, the East looked as though it would take at least 11 or 12 wins to get the job done. The Giants have 3 games left and they could win all 3 or lose all 3. Yes it is that nuts. Looks like 8-8 for the Giants.

NFC Wild Cards. This is where the real fun starts! You have 7 teams for 2 spots.

Dallas Cowboys 7-6 With 3 games left and zero consistency, it should be a crazy ride. Game one of the 3 and the Cowboys get a break by getting Tampa Bay. This should be a game that Dallas owns with no problems. games 2 and 3 are gonna decide division and knockout one or two teams from wild card consideration. I have the Cowboys going 8-8 on the year. Nothing cleared up here.

Philadelphia Eagles 5-8 The eagles have 3 games left and have underachieved all season long. A 3-0 over the last 3 games and at least they have some sort of redemption. I said some sort not full redemption. The problem with trying to go 3-0 over the next three weeks is the Eagles have a very tough schedule. As much as I would love to see the three top teams in the East all be 8-8 and wait for all the fun tie breakers I cannot see the Eagles winning but one of their last 3 games. So as we see it the Eagles finish at 6-10.

Detroit Lions 8-5 The Lions have 3 games left and have to be at the top of the mental midget team of all time. This team has a ton of talent and could not handle becoming winners. Their coach lost control of his team and instead of just playing solid tough hard hitting football, they had to show just how ignorant and selfish to a man a team can be. This team showed little or no class in winning or losing. Their best chance at a win is this week against the Oakland Raiders. This is the heartless bowl. About 6 weeks ago I called for the Lions to finish at 8-8 on the year. I have amended that a little bit. I believe that the Lions will find a way to get one more win on the season. We see the Lions finishing at 9-7. I think that is as good as it gets for Detroit.

Chicago Bears 7-6 Three weeks ago before losing their quarterback and the next week their all pro running back, it looked like the Bears were on their way to something very special. Now the Bears are hoping to limp into the playoffs. It really looks like an 8-8 finish for the Chicago Bears. I believe that might be giving them one more win then they will get. They may not be able to hang with Minnesota in the final game of the season. A tough way to end their year.

Atlanta Falcons 8-5 With 3 games left it looks like the Falcons will grab one of the Wild Card spots. They will have earned it. Unlike every other team looking for a playoff spot in the NFC, the Falcons will be winning their way into the dance. Worse case for the Falcons is a 2-1 record over the last 3 weeks. Even if they were able to sweep their way into the playoffs, it looks like the Saints will have done enough to win their division. We see the Falcons finishing the season at 10-6. A solid follow up season to their number one seed last year.

Seattle 6-7 With 3 weeks to go Seattle has been playing very solid football with their running back Lynch leading the way. If you would have said at the start of the year that Seattle, San Francisco and Arizona were a better threesome then Dallas, New York and Philadelphia, people would have thought you drunk. Looks like wins against Chicago and Arizona are possible and a tough game against San Francisco makes for a good chance at a 9-7 record. I see them finishing the season at 8-8. A very strong finish to a tough start to the year.

Arizona 6-7 With 3 games left Arizona also looks to be playing their best football as the season comes to a close. It is sad that they are playing a Bengals team who is looking towards their own playoff berth to end the season. In the case of Arizona it is Larry Fitzgerald carrying the load. He is an amazing player who can man handle any secondary. We look for Arizona to finish at 8-8.

NFC Division Winners

East....New York Giants 8-8
North....Green Bay Packers 16-0
South....New Orleans Saints 12-4
West....San Francisco 49ers 12-4

NFC Wild Card Winners

Atlanta Falcons 10-6

Detroit Lions 9-7 and the Seattle Seahawks 9-7
I don't know how the tie breakers will workout here but what an amazing finish we are in for this season.

The fun part here is as a handicapper at the start of three weeks to go, we have 20 teams still alive for a number of playoff spots.

The dead are alive and the alive are fading

After a great start on Sunday, it ended up being a right down the middle type of day. Going 2-2 with our regular plays and 2-2 with our double plays. Some of the outcomes yesterday raised some teams from the dead and brought others down to earth.

In the last 3 minutes of the Sunday night game, the Giants not only hurt the Cowboys. The Giants pumped a little life into the Philadelphia eagles. It is not much but the Eagles are alive. The Cowboys were a open pass away from ending the Giants and Eagles seasons. A game of inches.

Earlier in the day Denver was about to let all of their good work go to waste when Marion Barber decided to not take a hit and stay in bounds, but to casually waltz out of bounds and stop the clock. The Broncos got the ball back with no timeouts and 56 seconds on the clock. TEBOW time. After going 3-15 the first 3 quarters, Mister Tebow completed 75 % of his passes in the 4th quarter and overtime and put the dagger in another team. Tim Tebow is the 3rd ranked quarterback in the 4th quarter behind Eli Manning and Aaron Rogers this season. The man is a winner.

With the crazy win by Denver and the Raiders for the 2nd week in a row not making the trio to the stadium, brings the San Diego Chargers back to life. The Chargers over the last 5 years have the best record in December in football history. If San Diego could start a season just splitting out their early games they could be a dynasty.

One more quick note. With the Raiders down 0-31 at the end of the first half, history was made. A Raider team has never been that far behind at the half in the history of the franchise.

The Forty Niners finally got caught kicking to many field goals. In what should have been a first half blowout turned into a nail biter then a close lose. I had been waiting to see what would happen if Alex Smith had to come to the rescue late in a game. He had 3 chances in the 4th quarter and failed to move the football.

The change with that game is the Niners, who looked to have the 2nd seed all wrapped up a few weeks ago are now in real trouble of having no bye and only one home game. With a win they will have to go to New Orleans or Green Bay a week earlier then hoped.

The Raiders, Chargers, San Francisco, Philadelphia and the N.Y Giants must win out in order to have a shot at the playoffs. This will make for many meaningful games coming down the stretch and in turn many betting opportunities.

I do have to mention the NBA. Wow what a tangled web the NBA office has weaved. Why have general managers? There have been many one sided trades in the NBA for decades and now you get a fair trade all the way around and the NBA voids said trade. Does not make any sense at all. The owner of the Cavaliers was upset that the Lakers would be under the cap and his team would not benefit financially if this was the case. A joke.

Hot or not do not get sucked in

On a nice run right now. The toughest part of being on fire is this. You start to believe you wont or cannot lose. You bet to much thinking you cannot lose. You will have winning streaks and losing streaks. You must survive both.

I took 3 days off. I could not find value and I did not want to push it. Wrote down some NHL plays and they went 3-2 +2.00 units. That does show that I am still streaking so I look forward to Saturday's card.

It has been amazing how so many scumbags play with younger boys. Really. Why will men play with other adult men or woman? Some real sick people out there.

10 year deals in baseball have a tendency to fail. Hopefully the 254 million dollar deal lives up to all it must be. David Stern what were you thinking? The teams involved did everything correct. The Lakers gave up more then they had to. The Rockets got their star and New Orleans was not left in the cold like they will be when Paul leaves at the end of the season.

If anyone has not. You must read the email sent out by the Cavaliers owner. He was upset that the Lakers were going to be under the tax and his team was not going to get money from the Lakers being over the tax. What a sham.

Well everyone is due a bad day. I had one of those yesterday. It was a fun day of watching football and Oklahoma State may have made the statement they needed to make.

NCAA 78-63 Still respectable and worth a huge bowl season to make this season a real doozy.

TO FAN or NOT to FAN ? What a Question!

I have been betting on sports since I was in the 8th grade. Putting my entire bankroll on the Oakland Raiders in the Super Bowl against the Philadelphia Eagles. The bankroll was 100 bucks that I had made on my paper route that month.

The start of a long career that has made me a better person then I would have ever been without sports betting. I learned right then and there that you did not bet on the teams you liked but you would bet to any sort of advantage.

I loved the eagles quarter back and their massive wide out Carmichael. I loved the emotions that their head coach would show and loved those Eagles uniforms. I knew even in 8th grade that the emotional play was the Eagles.

The Raiders had an under rated Jim Plunkett, with his wobble ball. The Raiders had the better defense and speedy wide receivers. I thought, speed kills and I like the Raiders to beat my favorite team.

Probably a lucky albeit solid piece of handicapping. I saw at a young age that the players were not machines. I believe that still plays all these years later. Not only were the statistics favoring Seattle tonight but the{not machine parts} played into Seattle's hands tonight.

Philadelphia has stopped talking to one another. Philadelphia and Seattle were both on short rest. One big problem for Philadelphia, they were the team that had to travel. Going from the East Coast to the West Coast is very tough on the body.

Sad part is for once, I watched all the pre game shows and could not help but laugh at the fact that this fact was not brought up by one expert. There were at least 15 experts that picked Philadelphia tonight. Not one of the ex players who have all been though the wars of a tough NFL season could pick Seattle.

The experts and Ex players reacted as fans and not as the media. You have Seattle, who have been playing better and players still fighting against a team that has given up. Given up on each other and their teams and coaches. They were also tired. Travel, losing and being the golden team, will take it all out of you. Blow out win. SEATTLE.

Here is the question, Can you be a fan of any teams and win at betting on sports?

I have a friend who I have trusted with many of the things that I do to make myself a winning player. I would say 95% of the time I trust his opinion as much as my own. I will probably never pass many of the things I do to anyone other then this man.

The 5%.... There is the rub. When it comes to his favorite teams, things get downright stupid. I do not mean the opinion is wrong or right. I know that it is not the clear and educated opinion that I have come to appreciate from this man. He will angry and loud and it is not any fun at all.

For the most part I have been able to stay away from those favorite teams but it is tough sometimes. He does what many cannot, he will just pass going against his favorite teams. The fact that he does not bet on his team every time, does show that he has restraint.

Most people who lose on a regular basis will have their favorite teams and bet on those teams no matter what. This practice will lead you to lose in the long run. Even if that team does go on an incredible streak and you do make some money on that team, sooner or later that team will go on a losing streak. When this happens, as a fan one will remember that great streak and start to increase the wagers.

With no game plan, the bettor will always go broke. PERIOD.

I am the fan of one team. I am since childhood a San Francisco Giants fan. The sad truth is I will not hesitate to make a wager against my favorite team. Many family members will tell me that it is so sad. I will say that when the Giants won it all in 2010, I cried like a baby. My daughter, son and wife held me as I rejoiced in a lifetime of waiting.

I probably only made 2 bets during that World Series, I went 2-0 and picked up good dog money. I was not sad but as happy as an adult can be. In 2002 in game #7 against the Angels I played the Angels and the under in that game #7. Knowing I would win my bets. With the sad knowledge that history said the Angels were the play. I rooted for my team all the way. I won my bets and had to wait for another time for my team to be champions.

Every other sport I am just a fan of the sport. I believe you cannot have favorite teams all the way across the board and be a winner. At worse you must be able to bet against your favorite team. For some people that is impossible.

Before anyone says I am not a true fan of the San Francisco Giants. My son's name is William Clark Scans.

Always have a plan. Dogs, Favorites, money lines or against the spread. Have your plan. Work your plan and treat any wager as a business.

Let them build it and the fans will ????

I do not know any service or tout or pro handicapper who had a better record for the Holiday Weekend.

Every now and again I put my football plays up on the blog and all I can say is Bowl Season is coming and no one should miss out.

I will never have some fake unit profit like many other services but I will have winning selections and will make you money. Please email me and be a winner.

We also will be getting into college basketball soon and with an early 3-0 record, it looks like another money making basketball season.

As for college basketball, we have been working on getting a very good, no great pro out of Vegas to join our team for college hoops. I have really used all I can to get this guy on board. He is much like me, he does nothing for a living but bet on sports and he has a specialty. NCAA BASKETBALL.

Speaking of College hoops, It really does amaze me with the greater then though attitude of so many people that really have nothing better to do then try and take people down. A writer, er, HATER who writes for a big outlet. This man or god as he may think he is. You now someone who knows all, sees all, and apparently is the all mighty.....Has made it his goal to make statements about good people who have had bad situations happen around them be death sentences.

No one knows the true situations of these two legends. Not legends in coaching but true legends in their towns. Both men and their families do as much for children as the men that ruined other children with their own sickness. A media person should yield ones power with great care. Be able to put themselves in the other mans shoes. It is sad but the media has been so quick to try and crush the good guys, that good judgment and belief in lifelong good does not go away.

I have been reading all of the Forty Niner fans craziness the last few days and to say the least.. it is too bad that the Niners have done so well. The fans have gone so far as to say that this coach with all of his success is not doing a good job. Ah well you see, or you do not. I say to Niner fans. REMEMBER THE LAST 11 years folks.

I bad call of a chop block and the entire flow of the game is different. A right tackle got injured and a rookie could not protect his quarterback. 9 sacks later and it is a tough night for the Niners. Have a look at the stats. The yards from the Quarterbacks are almost even and both running backs had a very tough night against great defenses. As a whole the game was a push with the Ravens at home getting the win. People forget that the Niners were on short rest and they flew across the country. One of the toughest situations in football.

The fans must not be spoiled. This was going to be a work in progress but Jim has made sure this is a now season. I can see this team going 13-3 and at worst 12-4. I say this knowing that there will many who complain.

In the NFL, it does take time. Ask the Houston Texan fans. They have finally put all the little pieces in place to make a strong run in the playoffs. The team has let the team build, trusting in their coach and getting play maker by play maker. Ask the Lions if they would love to have a star running back right now. With all the pieces in place. WHACK down goes the star quarterback. Coach does not panic. He knows this team is well built and they do not have to rely on just their star quarterback. He had already lost his all pro wide receiver and this ended up helping his team out. He found a dynamic running game. This running game is huge now with his quarterback out coach knows he can find a way to win. {he really did not count on the back up going down in the very next game} Little thought here{ Hello Brett}

The point of that last paragraph. It takes time and effort, with a great game plan. Enjoy any success that comes quick with change. Do not get spoiled and forget what a great turn around has taken place in the Bay Area.

Bay Area. The Raiders! At one point I told a huge Raider fan that his team would not with over 7 games. I can say that I was as wrong as I could possibly be. The Raiders saw that they could be pretty good right now and love him or not Hugh made the move to WIN BABY. I have great respect for not staying pat. How Hugh went about it, was not the way many would have liked it done. He took a stand and will take blame. Good or bad. Hopefully it works out. Big brass balls.

It has been good and getting better

It has been a wonderful Thanks Giving week. We went 1-1 on Thursday and 4-0 on Friday. The good news with that is Saturday is the strongest day we have seen all week.

I have to add that isn't it great what the Media has done to the Paterno's ? I mean why the so called child rapist had keys and access to everything. Joe's wife yesterday got rejected from using the Penn state pool? What the hell is going on here?

It has turned out that the so called man who saw the crime, has been lying to friends via email. He says that the child was getting raped and he jumped in and stopped it and went to the police! That is great. Uh well maybe not. The police have no record and it looks like the asst coach is getting caught in lie after lie. This is not a good thing. The media had no idea of the truth and took a legend down without all the facts. Not good.

How about Hawaii. Looks like they shaved point in not one, two or three games but four or more. It only involves the starting quarterback, Running back, a starting linebacker and a place kicker. This is not good. Hawaii pd tried to sweep it under the rug and saying that there was not enough evidence. Not good because when the boys in Vegas get jacked out of millions, it is now a federal case and the house will come tumbling down.

This is the kind of thing that gives sports betting a huge black eye. It is a shame that greed has taken over for honesty. This is going to get really big but the media still has not gotten involved. Not good.

The Penn State scandal goes the other way

So Penn State and the media fucks, how ya feeling now about ruining a legends career? Now it turns out that even the victims are as soon as this summer having lunch with their wives with Sandusky. That seems odd to me. If you were raped I have a feeling you would not be introducing your wife to coach.

The media was so high and mighty and had to have the huge story, the facts were not checked out. What a shame. It is a joke.

Well P.Val showed up on Kansas City, which if the story is true it is a good thing. His fiance family had an emergency, hopefully with history of the man this is the truth.

You just have to love what Tim Tebow is doing with little or no talent as a quarterback. I played the Broncos yesterday with confidence, while everyone had the Jets. When everyone goes one way always and I do mean always go the other way. Over the long run you will be way ahead of the game.

I love my selections for Saturday with most plays being live dogs. I have 3 very strong plays and a number of single unit selections. The NFL will do what the NFL does and the easy plays by just looking at the board will lose and the bettors will be upset. Remember go the other way.

Hope is with you Patrick Valenzuela

Not many follow horse racing but it is very near and dear to my heart. Today Patrick Valenzuela, pulled a no show for his mounts at Hollywood Park. This would not be a big deal for almost any other rider, but P.Val has overcome so much to rise to the top of his sport once again. He has had problems with drugs and booze all through his career.

His agent who just over a year ago took a chance on this rider. The reason was simple. He was the best Jockey to ride a horse ever. I do not know if that is true, I do know he is one of the best and he had beaten the devil of all devil's to ride again.

The problem with drugs is that they never let you go. You will for a while let them go but in that boring, lonely or that one moment of weakness they will take you back with arms wide open. Opiates are the worse. Your mind will forever feel that need for euphoria. I hope that P.Val did not hear that cry from those demons and he just missed a day of work. I fear that the truth is far worse then the thought.

Tonight in the NFL we have a situation that is all to real. The Jets played their rival and have a short week to play a weak team. Everyone and their mother are all over the Jets tonight. I will not be one of those people. I will take the 7 and hope for that letdown to take place.

Hey Tiger Woods, HAHAHAHAHAHA you are a peach brother. You got drilled in round one of the Presidents Cup and hopefully for Fred you show up for day two. You prick.

Handicapping and being a WINNER or a loser

Sometimes you must see that you are HOT. As well at times and this is tougher, you have to see that you are cold. Both will happen when you have a game plan for handicapping. The last two NFL games I really thought the games would go over at the half and both games went well over at the half.

You must trust what you are watching and react to what you are seeing. With the Jets and Patriots I felt like New England had it all their own way but I knew I was going to win the side. I did not want to throw away a winner so I did not trust what I was looking at and did not make a half time bet. The reason I did not is simple, in general I do not play half time plays.

On two nights while winning almost every game I have looked at, I got scared and it cost me two easy wins. Most people will FIND those extra plays or chase bets to gety out of a losing streak. You must strike while the iron is hot.

Tonight I really liked Ball State +19 but they did not fit all of my criteria so I passed. Right now that choice looks like it will cost me a unit. The all important units must be built when you are feeling it. Funny thing is as I watch this game I hope that Northern Illinois does not take take the lead, they are moving the football and at the right number will be a solid half time wager.

Can Oklahoma State with that unreal offense stay undefeated and have the wonderful match up of great defense against a perfect offense, win a national championship? I have always been a great believer in defense wins championships and great offenses go down when it counts.

In baseball this year the top scoring team won it all without a true ace having a ACE type of year, so things may be changing. The San Francisco Giants last year couldn't hit their way out of a paper sack but the offense knew that 3 runs were all they needed in most cases.

Northern Illinois just tied it up and have 300 yards of offense in the first half. That has blowout written all over it or at least an over bet at the half. The number of course must be right. 34 or 35 and it is an over play. If the number is close to 40 then a pass is a must.

I suggest that you do not make larger wagers when on fire but I do say play games that you do have a well though out opinion on. Most important, do not triple up when losing and hoping for a win.

Trust what you are doing and have a plan. Have an idea how conservative you must be when losing and how hot you are when you are on a tear.

Here is an exercise, when handicapping try and see how the game is going to be played out in your mind. Every now and again you will get it right and there is no greater feeling as a winning handicapper how spectacular that feels. When you are on fire, you will be amazed at how often you get this correct. When losing you will find that you are so very wrong and that is a hint that you are cold.

Have a great day

Things are the way they are and should be

So it was not that backwards after all. Tiger chocked and plays like a rookie. Getting into contention early and fading into nothing as a young pro will do.

The Houston Texans just got very bad news today. Their starting quarterback is done for the year and now under achieving Matt Lienhert will take over one of the best teams in the AFC. I feel for the Texans and the patience that their ownership showed in their head coach.

How about those Baltimore Ravens? One week they are the best that they can be then the next week.....well they suck.

The Ravens have always been one of my favorite teams because they win by playing defense. At times you need a good offense as well. Of all the weeks to lose your focus. Really? Against one of the worst teams in the NFL.

I am sure the coaching staff is beside themselves, to not show up at all negates the huge win from the week before. Beat Pittsburgh and no show against Seattle. Hopefully they find some consistency.

I live close to the Bay Area and I have been stunned by the coaching job by the entire staff of the Niners. Jim Harbaugh is a leader and no one can tell you otherwise after what he has done with this team. Alex Smith is viable and the Defense is incredible. The special teams are well SPECIAL. The only thing they have not had to do besides the Eagles collapse is be down late by two scores and have Alex bring them from behind.

The Eagles win at the time, seemed to be huge but how good are the Eagles? Talent wise and on paper they are really good but in real life, not so much. Beating the Giants and coming from behind did show that they trust Alex Smith. They threw down the field to take the lead and did not look back. I believe they are top 3 in the entire NFL.

In contrast to Jim Harbaugh, there is the coach of the Detroit Lions. He acts like an idiot and his players believe that is the way to represent the team. The Lions are cheap shot artist, who as a whole believe they are better then they are. It is sad to see a talented group, just lose it in every way possible. The Bears showed them what rough and tough football is all about.

Tim Tebow! He is a pathetic excuse for a quarterback. His overall stats are a joke. You would take Cam Newton, Andy Dalton or any other quarterbacks to lead your team. ON PAPER THAT IS. Tim is a winner 3-1 as a starter this year. Tim has whatever winners have. He has IT. I enjoy watching the media continue you to rip this guy, but Tim keeps winning and in the division that they are in he can lead his team to a title. Division title but probably not much more then that.

A backwards week in the world of us. Fuck off Media!

This is a strange week in the works. One of the most important and well liked coaches in college sports gets fired for doing the right thing. While the man who saw the crime in progress keeps his job.

The media should be very proud of themselves, taking down a legend. A man who has done nothing but great things for Penn Sate and who has the most wins as a coach in college football history. A man who with his wife has done more for children in the State then anyone in the history of the State. A man who without coaching will be dead before the next calender year.

The Media took it on their moral high brow to bury a man for doing his job. Never mind the many, many, many men who became MEN while playing for this man. The high graduation rate and clean program. Fuck that! He heard a story and took it to his higher ups. As a state employee who got paid far less then any other coach who won 2 national championships.

Joe Paterno made 500,000 a year and was and still is loved by the kids that go to Penn state and who went to Penn state. The media has decided that he himself raped young boys even though he got rid of that cancer in 1998. Oh you must know this. The criminal was gone in 1998 and had nothing to do with the program in 2002. Somehow the media and I mean all of the media. The ones who cheat on their wives and drink all night and have the moral high brow of assholes who dine for free and dig to dig.

The truth has nothing to do with this story. If the truth had anything to do with this then Joe Paterno would be graded on doing everything he was legally, morally and ethically to do. There would be one person in the media who would stand up and be heard but that is not the case here. Someone to say, gee, Joe heard a story and did what you are taught to do since childhood and report the story to your boss or higher ups. Joe is 84 years old and since he was a small boy, he was told that if you hear of a crime then you tell your bosses that there might be a problem. If Joe had seen the crime he would have went to the police. Oh that is right Joe did not see the crime.

The man who saw the crime and did not go to the police still has his job. Joe was such a tool in all of this and protected his friend that he sat on the information and did not report his friend. Oh wait he did what he had to do. It did not matter who it was. That is right he also did all he could with the grand jury and spoke of what he was told. The media would have you believe that there was silence and he protected a friend. HE DID NOT!!!

The media, the same media that said Vick was an animal and should and would never play football again. That media who compliments Vick know because he can run, throw and lead grown men on the football field. The media who can ruin a 84 year old man who did lead men and who did make sure that every player who crossed his path for 61 years was a far better person for having Joe Pa enter their lives. Fuck all of that. Joe did what anyone would do and report the story to the people in power, and the people who were going to make sure that the criminal was taken care of.

Of course that is, since we are all innocent till proven guilty. Since charges were never brought after an investigation in 1998 why would Joe think any different when he heard nothing of it this time?

Media! You should all be ashamed. Everyone of you who jump on your moral bus. I have children as a matter of fact I have a 21 year old boy and girl. Both would have been around the same age as when this took place. I would never put the blame on the coach. I feel sick when thinking of this. I have read the transcripts and they are very bad. At no point would I blame the Coach, who did not see the act. I would not blame the man who saw the act. I would blame the man who did the act. Gee novel idea.

So easy to go after the 84 year old man who is the lightening rod. So easy to cast blame without knowing exactly what the coach did. I would have stood behind the man who made men better and made sure that my child would graduate school while playing sports. I would have stood behind a coach and his wife who donated their time, money and knowledge to special needs children and countless other child charities.

This really sounds like a man with no ethics or morals. Look at the entire man and his story, rather then what you the media thinks is what you would have done or not done in any situation. PATHETIC.

The other odd thing this week, while a great man gets torn down another man who proved to be a pig is leading a golf tournament across the world. The media loves Tiger and kills Joe Pa. Good job you pricks.

Back to normal we did have a very nice winning selection on the Oakland Raiders tonight. We took the 8 and won the game outright. I must have no morals for betting on sports. Or do have no morals because I charge for my work? I would hate to see how I would be judged by the media.

I am a good father, husband{which at one point I was not} and a really good handicapper. Sports and horses. I am sure because I do this for a living that I would not be judged well by today's media. I would not be what the media would think was a dead beat or scumbag because I do things in another way. It would not matter that it is legal or that I work a good 50 to 60 hours a week doing what I do.

Have a great day.

HEY MEDIA anyone have a set of brass balls you punks

Sick and not the good sick. The media is a piece of shit. Not one media person can say anything for Joe Paterno. Just jump on board you mindless media morons. Joe did exactly what he had to do and with all of the Special Olympics and child work he and his wife do, you cannot tell me that he has no ethics or morals!

So easy to jump on when all of the facts and what was or wasn't done may never be known. I do have children and I would in this case not blame the coach. The criminal was NOT in 2002 on Paterno's staff. Joe got a story and sent it up.

The last time this was alleged, the police got involved and no one pressed charges. Why in Joe's mind would he not believe that the police did their job and the matter had been resolved. Joe Did not see the act. He got a story!!! I am sure if he saw the act, he would have went to the police it was his duty.

Pathetic. Someone in the Media stand up be a man and point out the facts. Fucking jerks.

Penn State and Joe Pa

Quick look back at this weekend. 12-1 NCAA football and 4-0 in the NFL. I make it quick because with the story at Penn State I have to give my two cents.

Today is a sad day. When the coach of 61 years has to step down on others terms, it is a shame. Joe Pa did what any under link is told to do. You report things that are brought to your attention to the higher ups.

Joe did not see what took place at Penn State, in his locker room. Someone who saw the law being broken did what he thought was correct and brought the infraction to his boss. his boss did what he had to do. He took it to his bosses.

Joe Pa is not part of the investigation and in that setting DID exactly what he had to do. It is so easy for people who are not in that spot to say things that they would have done. Bull Shit! Joe Pa got a story and he did not sit on it. He acted as any admin and under link should and took it to the powers that be. So easy to judge someone when not living the story. Pathetic.

Will the NFL get the boost it needs from it's youth?

College Football was a good thing on Saturday with a 6-2 mark with the single unit plays and a solid 2-1 with the top selections. It always amazes me when a team like Texas Tech can beat Oklahoma at Oklahoma one week and the very next week at home get blown out by Iowa State. Things like that will never make sense.

The Stanford at U.S.C game, lived up to the hype and was a sloppy game of ages. U.S.C played a great football game with Stanford able to run away with it at the end. Stanford has a really solid running game. The game against Oregon later on should be a fun affair.

The NFL is here and there are not many plays but enough to have a fun Sunday. The fun game of the week will be Ponder at Newton. I mean Minnesota at Carolina. The two young quarterbacks should put on a great show.

If the Broncos and Tebow beat the Detroit Lions this week, hopefully the Tebow haters will see that this young man is a winner. He is not a typical Quarterback and he runs to much, but a win over the Lions will show that Tebow just has IT. If the Lions lose they will be on their way to a solid 8-8 record. As a Lion lover this would be a crappy way to see that the Lions still have a long way to go.

Baseball was great now Football must be divine!

What a great World Series! Not just because game 6 was one of the greatest games of all time or at least top 10 all time, but we had it nailed with St Louis in 7 games. The baseball season ends on a high and the average fan showed interest in the game.

Game 6 brought the average fan into the game and will have an impact over the next couple of years. No steroids involved. As with the last great shot in the arm{no pun intended} with Mark MC Guire and Sammy Sosa hitting home runs in bunches to bring the fans back to the national past time.

The playoffs were a true money maker for the Sportsdevil!

Overall record of the entire season 196 wins 195 losses PLUS + 37.00 units

The 2011 Playoff record an amazing 31 wins 17 losses PLUS + 25.10 units

With the Cardinals leading the way by picking up 7 units for getting to the World Series!
This is a post season I will never forget. Not for the great play but the great plays.

Now we concentrate fully on the rest of the football season. College and the NFL. I have a lot of work ahead to make sure this football season ends up in the black. Right now it will be an uphill climb. I am having the worst football season I have had in 18 years. That is the last time I had a losing football season.

All I can say is there is a large number of easy looking favorites covering any number and that will always spell LOSER for me. When the average guy can open his or her newspaper and just point to any favorite at any number and win without handicapping at all. I have faith because I am used to winning and when the dust clears we will have had a winning year.

There will be no 10 unit or 100 star plays. There will be one and two unit selections. There might be one or two 3 unit selections but that is doubtful. I have had 9 of those in the last 18 years, so that is not what will save our football season.

To suck is to Rick ask UCLA

So UCLA will have a new coach sooner then later. Those kids are in the Pac 12 south and with a win yesterday could get to the top of the south division. It is not that they lost it is the fact that these kids did not give any effort whatsoever.

Tonight Rutgers is a solid single unit selection, no matter what this coach will have those kids ready to play.

Game 2 of the World Series was a very good game. I applaud Texas for fighting back and winning National League style ball.

World Series game 2

Yesterday I took St Louis and the over so a split in game 1 of the big dance. Tonight I look for Garcia at plus 110 to pitch well and give the cards a 2-0 lead going to Texas.

The starting pitching is just not strong enough right now to take the Cardinals down in this series. The other factor is the number three hitter for the Rangers, Hamilton has been very quiet with no home runs in the playoffs.

The series will be decided by by pitching and defense and Tony La Russa will play small ball the best out of the two teams.

Tonight I have a massive play on UCLA, which is tough to do with a team that has not done much over Ricks run at coach of the Bruins. Arizona is just not that good and as a handicapper you must look for bad lines and Arizona giving up 5 points is a bad line. There is no smart money here as the Bruins will run the ball right down the throat of the Arizona defense.

Dan Weldon a tragic loss

Its Monday Night so it is time for football. You have two teams reeling but the Jets should win right? Not so fast folks. I look for a high scoring close game with the Jets getting out of there with a close win.

The Detroit Lions coach does things all the time when his team wins. He back talks to other teams players and in the first quarter of the Niner game made it a point to show up the Niner's head coach. Caught on video as everything is now days. Shouting across the field, know the rules dumbo! He chases down the other coach 30 yards to act like a jerk. Grow up. you dish it out, so you lost and have to take it.

We caught the best of the odds when we had Milwaukee +400 and ST Louis +700 to goto the World Series. It will be a very exciting well hit series.

My heart goes out to Dan Weldon and his family after his death on the track in Las Vegas yesterday. One of the true known stars of the Indy circuit. He leaves behind a loving family, a wife and two sons.

Huge game #5 in the National League tonight

This is a fantastic angle game in the National League tonight. The series is tied a 2-2 and Milwaukee played a very solid baseball game yesterday. Not only did they win the game but had a number of well hit balls that did not contribute to any offense.

The Brewers played great defense and after falling behind played very loose the rest of the way. When the Brewers are having fun they really do play their bast baseball. They got contributions all up and down the line up, not just from their stars. In order to win any series at this time of year, you must have the not so known get some big hits.

Yesterday although I had the over, it was great to see the aging Wolf pitch a great ball game. He only game up 2 runs over 7 innings which was the first time he had gone past the 5th inning in 13 starts.

A big part of the win was not only Wolf but the fact that the Brewers did not act like loud mouth punks. They just played happy go lucky baseball and worried about themselves and not their mouths.

Today you have a rematch from game one where Greinke got hit around a bit but got the win. Garcia was not as fortunate, taking the loss for his less then top effort.

This happens to be a rematch angle which is one of the strongest angles in baseball. This is where the same two pitchers that got the win or loss face off in their very next start.

This is also helped by the fact that Milwaukee was the only team to make the playoffs with a sub .500 record on the road during the regular season. this is also true so far in the playoffs. As great as Greinke is at home, he is opposite on the road. This is an odd thing since at home it is a hitters park all the way. Garcia on the other hand has been wonderful at home which does make sense. In St Louis, it is more of a pitchers park.

I have to admit I would usually only be looking to play the Cardinals in this one but Garcia has thrown more overall innings then he has ever thrown at any level. I see runs being scored early and often with the Cardinals bullpen holding it down late.

During the regular season, I would pass the total or play the under. Tonight however it looks to be a higher scoring affair.

Hawaii -4 this line is at 5 right now but I will buy to 4. Hawaii should destroy the secondary of San Jose state. The weather is supposed to be decent in San Jose tonight and I can see Hawaii throwing for at least 400 yards. Hawaii also has a slight rushing edge. The reason this makes a difference, is that Hawaii does not run the football often. With that double advantage, running and passing look for a blowout in Northern California.

NHL 0-0 The start of a new season.

San Jose -130 The Sharks are loaded again this year and somehow have gotten better then the team that has made it one step away from the Stanley Cup the last 2 years. The Sharks fans are some the biggest idiots on the hockey planet. That is tough to do with many east coast zanies out there in hockey land.

A quick note here. Look for Lane Kiffen to take a big hit with the crap he pulled with his one year at Tennessee. This guy is a great football coach but he is dirty. He left the Vols holding the bag with his one season of cheating. The NCAA is not done with Lane yet.

I had a friend ask me if Tiger woods would ever win again. The easy answer is of course. the real answer is, until he goes back to Butch probably not. To many swing changes in a relative short amount of time and to many personnel changes that he needs to mentally get rid of. The 2nd thing may take a lifetime to overcome but the going out and just playing golf might be a long way off.

The punks and the quietly confident do battle again

Talk about nothing to complain about. The playoffs in baseball have been spectacular so far and just want to keep it going.

Looks as though Harrison has had a tough time with the Tigers line up with an ERA around 7. The only thing that bothers mew with this play is the weather. The Tigers have some bumps and bruises so the wet weather could be a bother.

The National League game is very interesting. I always looked the Cardinals as bullies. In this case the bullies have been the Brewers. Maybe not bullies but loud punks. Albert Puljos already shut the mouths of idiots by tearing the cover off the ball with 3 doubles, a home run and 5 RBI in the last game. I guess you will not be hearing the Alberta comment anytime soon from anyone with the Brewers.

Now it is Carpenters turn to shut the punks up. The Brewers have their own problems on the road. They score less and give up mare on the road then they do at home. The Brwers need to worry about their own team rather then the actions of others.

I do not think the Brewers are punks but they need to just play baseball. When this team just plays it is a wonderful, fun and exciting team.

Milwaukee and ST Louis and coming out party in the NFL

Looks like the bullpens are torched already in this National League series. Both starting pitchers having bad numbers home and away while both offenses score a bunch of runs home and away. This game #2 looks to be another high scoring affair.

I will take a shot with the Cardinals as well. Looking for another crazy game as it looks like the leagues have changed places. Texas and Detroit are going to play low scoring tactical games. Milwaukee and ST Louis are playing 3 run homer ball.

Saturday 10/8/2011 NCAA Football and Baseball

As noted on this blog at the start of the playoffs. Take Detroit to beat the Yankees, Take Milwaukee +400 and ST Louis +700 to win the National league championship. Well we have won money on those plays.

Detroit won in a great series and Milwaukee or St Louis will be representing the National League in the World Series! For price would love to see the Cardinals be the one but will take whatever comes down the pike.

The Philadelphia Phillies have got to be sick as another weaker team has kept them from the promised land. The Giants last year and now the Cardinals this year. Maybe this team does not have the heart to dig deep and make it happen. Maybe this team is happy with its World Series a few years ago. Whatever it is, hopefully no one loses their job and they keep this team intact. I love their whole team that has the pitching and hitting to get to the World Series for the next few years.

NCAA sterts here and the Yankees end now

A perfect 3-0 in baseball yesterday with the Milwaukee over leading the way. Tonight I will stick with the Detroit Tigers and Fister on the mound.

80 percent of the play will be on the Yankees because of their big win in the last game. It is not always the last game that counts. The players will not be thinking of the last game. The Yankees have a rookie pitcher on the mound and it is a tough place to have to perform. Look for a low scoring hard fought close game.

Lets go crazy in the NFL and Baseball

Yesterday was a small winning day in college football and a painful losing day in baseball. I have to rive the Rays all the credit in the world. Tampa Bay refuses to go down easy. It would have been very easy to just take their loss on Sunday. The Rays beat to their own drum. They fought all the way to the last strike.

The weather in New York may have saved the Yankees season. Detroit has gone through their two best pitchers and are down one game in the best of 5.

Today in the NFL, I have an array of plays from the seemingly easy to what were you thinking. Jacksonville shouldn't even be on the same field with the mighty Saints?! I am a huge believer in defense over offense and with Jacksonville we go to the extreme.

The game I will be watching, Detroit and Dallas. It will be a good game and just how far have the new age Lions come?

FREE BASEBALL PLAYOFF SELECTIONS ARE HERE!!!

Well the end of the regular season was a real hum dinger or as ol J.R would say a real slobber knocker. The Rays not only stunned the Boston collapse sox but may have hurt the Yankee bullpen moving into the playoffs.

I am sure the last thing the Yankee fans needed was over use of their suspect bullpen. They have one of the best closers in the game or the history of the game, the middle and late guys are not up to championship stuff.

The fun thing that did happen is that two teams on the way up got into the tournament and two teams that were dead are fishing or playing golf.

Tampa Bay a great story, with what happened and how it happened it was truly the work of movie of the week. The only down part is that they are stuck with a rookie starting game one of a 5 game series. Moore is very talented but game one in the playoffs will put a new stress on the young man. If Tampa can get a split in Texas all bets are off and Tampa could be the San Francisco Giants of this years playoffs.

Detroit is all set up. Starters and bullpen alike are all lined up to make a serious run at winning the whole thing. I have said all year that the Yankees will not bully their way through the playoffs. The Yankees pitching is not up to a real run at winning it all.

Texas comes into the post season with quiet confidence. The Rangers went about their business and feel they have unfinished business to take care of. The only weakness is their closer who can be lights out or lit up. If their closer shows up it could be a very nice run to glory.

The St Louis Cardinals showed a lot of guts coming down the stretch. With Atlanta wilting and the Giants unable to score more then 2 runs a game, the Cardinals did what they had to do and took the wildcard.

Everyone has already given the Phillies the National League pennant but the Cardinals had an excellent 6-3 record against the would be champions{just ask the media}. The Cardinals are in a great situation with a split being the goal. I say a great situation because the Cardinals have nothing to lose. The middle of the ST Louis line up matches up very well against the Phillies and last year Cliff Lee showed that the post season can cause stress in even the best in the game.

The only series I believe is a done deal is Milwaukee over the Diamondbacks. Ian Kennedy will win game one in a nail biter then it is all down hill from there. It says a lot when a team has Grienke as their 3rd starter. The only downside I see to that is Grienke has been a monster at home with one of the best records in baseball at home.

I will be playing the Detroit Tigers +130 to win their series against the Yankees and will enjoy the other three match ups. You may say well if you believe Milwaukee is a lock why not play them. No matter what you have to get the correct odds in order to make any wager and in general I do not like to lay the wood.

I also believe that the Cardinals will give Philadelphia all that they can handle but the +240 is not enough to play them. I will in fact play Milwaukee +400 and ST Louis +700 to win the National League pennant.

The reason I play it this way is simple. If the Phillies play the Brewers, there is no way that they get +400 in the series. If the Cardinals play the Brewers or the Diamondbacks there in no way that I would get +700.

Today's Playoff baseball plays. Record for the year 165-178 +13.35 units

Tampa Bay/Texas Over 8 -125. Both teams have excellent records against lefties, along with the fact that both teams score over 4 runs apiece. There is more. After all the Ray's had to do to get to the dance and the fact that their starter only went 2 innings in the clinching game. Will leave their bullpen used up at the start of the series. The Ranger closer can be touched up late in games as well. I see this total being hit later and off the bullpen.

Detroit +120 A very nice ACE versus ACE angle here which you always play the underdog. Overall in this series the starters, the middle relief, set up men all favor the Detroit Tigers. The Yankees do have the best closer in the history of baseball so if the Yankees can bully their way to a high scoring lead then they will have every chance at winning. The odds here make a play on the Tigers.

Detroit/New York Over 7. Hello! This is an American League park which yields close to 9.5 runs a game. Where a simple fly ball to right turns in to round trippers. The Tigers score 5.3 runs a game against lefties. The Tigers tend to work counts and will keep Sabathia at a high pitch count. When Sabathia goes, in comes a less then great middle relief group of pitchers. The Yankees do not have that veteran pitcher that can guile his way out of tough situations. They have no specialist to get that key out or late double play ball. This is the lowest total between these two teams in recent history.

Baseball playoffs start today

Nice to get that NFL play on Washington home. The baseball playoffs it seems will start today although the 4 teams will not be playing one another.

You would have to feel that ST Louis has a huge advantage in the National League.

The American League is a tough one because Boston has been so very bad this month.

Boston by all rights should have the upper hand but a good college team would have a chance against the tightening Sox.

Tampa is playing free and easy just as their manager steers his players.

My front runner to win it all is not the Phillies like most people but the Detroit Tigers with Verlander and Fister leading the way.

A big time College Football Saturday. The smaller the school and the uglier the play the better it is

The Baseball playoff picture is becoming very clear but for the Wild Card in the American League. With all of these double headers, the Boston Red Sox will be a pitching mess if they do make the playoffs.

The Tigers with Verlander and Fister leading the way look very strong in the American League. What a wonderful break for Fister going from last to first. Going from getting 2 runs of support a start to almost 5 runs a game. That really makes a difference.

After a very disgusting loss with Central Florida yesterday, I look for a nice bounce back today. Central Florida lead in all facets of the game but the almighty score and turnovers. I am not great with names but number 9 for Central Florida lost the game almost all by himself.

Although I did get paid right after the Utah game against U.S.C I reflected the game as a loss in my records. For up to 3 hours after that game I was 7-3 with my top plays. In a odd situation where some Nevada sports books kept the score as the game ended and had Utah as the ATS winner. Some sports Books paid both sides which is remarkable. Some other Books paid those Utah winners off right after game time and paid the U.S.C backers the next day. Play what you see not what you want

Odd time to get hot as can be in baseball, but it really has been great. One thing I have seen at so many posting sites, is that a team is going to win because they have to. That is about as stupid and losing a statement a winning handicapper will ever make.

I also saw yesterday that the Yankees would not try to win so they could stick it to the Boston Red Sox. Well The Yankees had to win to clinch a playoff spot and were going to do all they could to win the game.

The teams that have to win will at times not play to their ability, or play tight because they have to win. Stay with proven points to win all year long. We were able to play the San Diego Padres at Colorado knowing that the Rockies were starting none of their stars. The Padres on the other hand were playing all of their starters.

The Philadelphia Phillies in the last week said they were not going to push their starters past 50 or 60 pitches and would be resting their stars and I still could not pull the trigger and get paid by playing against them. The amazing thing was how many people played on them laying huge odds. After losing crying fix. I is not a fix when they announce what their plans are.

Some baseball and what is going on with all of the injuries in football

very tough push on the total in the NFL yesterday but still stand at 5-3 in the NFL which percentage wise I will take all season. Regular plays in College Football stands at a 18-15 mark and the double plays are at an outstanding 70 % 7-3. Baseball has gone on a nice run, after a 1-2 yesterday we stand at 159-171 +11.50 units.

after many ups and downs during the season to be up over 10 units feels great. Proving once again that even 12 games under 50/50 we can have an outstanding season.

If I can get to 50./50 it is a huge baseball season. Yesterday a few people had Arizona as their game of the year and my question is simple. Why would you lay anywhere from 235 to 250 as your play of the year. A 1-0 final with a runner on third and one out had those people wondering about their selection.

There has been a number of big time injuries in football so far and Kansas City was a bad football team as it was but without Charles this season just got longer. The Chiefs really have to be careful for o-16, do not know how they will score with zero running game.

I really hope the 0-2 start for Cam Newton does not ruin this mans confidence because he has done all he can for his team to be at least 1-1 on the young NFL season throwing for 854 yards but the 3 interceptions kept his team from winning this last Sunday.

There is another epidemic in football this year as well, kickers cannot make extra points. I know extra points have hurt me and my clients in a big way early in the season. Hopefully this turns around.

I have had a number of new clients who have passed on the ugly plays which of course have won. People just cannot play games where they believe the bigger school will not lose or at least cover. The line makers do not put lines out their to give away free money.

The biggest pass this week was Temple over Penn State and even though Temple lost the game they were never in trouble of not covering the number which is all that matters.

Every service in America but 2 had the NFL game going under yesterday and I was one of the
two. The reason I played the over was simple without Jackson the Rams were gooing to pass out of their no huddle offense. Injuries and all did not matter because the game was extended because of the inability to grind the clock out.

It was a push but that is what happens when you settle for field goals from 1rst and goal from the one yard line.

Baseball 159-173 +11.50 units

Florida -110 tough for the Braves to snap back after tough loss

The spread will scream as to what is going on.

Be sure to watch line moves during this time of year in all of football. They can be very meaningful as you have to figure out if the line move is a public move or the smart money. If it is a game that is ugly and the spread is moving towards to so called bad team, you have to think that the professional bettors are sending in the money. If it is a public team then it is the happy fans of a team bringing in the losing money. The spread is the great equalizer!!

Yesterday a very solid 2-0 picking up 2.90 units. The Washington play was a classical virgin pitcher making his first start and getting odds. There is no book on these first time starter and the other team has a tough time with those virgins. A final of 2-0 did show that the Mets had a very tough time with someone they had never seen.

The other game was an Odds play against a team that is feeling the stress of a pennant race. There has been a lot of finger pointing and to top it off after the game Prince Fielder decided it was the best time to say this will be his last year with Milwaukee. What was he thinking? Suck it up and try to win it all right now.

If it looks like a gift, return it

The NFL is back and a 3-2 mark was a good way to start the season. Hopefully this week in College Football the little things get done right. To many missed extra points and teams kicking chip shot field goals. Hawaii with 2 missed extra points and one being run back for two killed a very solid play.

The NFL is a tough place to bet this week. There many games that look like gifts. There are no gifts in the NFL. If it looks to easy go the other way or toss it out. The spread is the great equalizer! If you remember that then you will always be a winner.

In order to win in any sport you must be willing to play games that do not fit your eye. Games that look like they have no chance are the games that will make you a winner in the long run.
