Say it aint so JIM

Oh Jim you had the state fooled, Oh Jim you had you had the nation fooled, oh Jim you had the world fooled. Oh Jim you had your family fooled! Worst of all Jim you had yourself fooled you bought into how clean you were as a man and a coach but Jim while you were up on your soap box as the perfect coach with the perfect program, winning was all that counted not making men out children or running a clean program but winning was all that mattered because you got tired of getting to these huge BCS games and having teams out speed you up and down the field so you got faster players that would not have looked at THE Ohio State, said so proud by the alumni that liter the NFL and You got a bowl win with damaged goods players that broke the rules but because of a false sense of how great your clean program appeared your players got to play which was sad any other program and suspensions happen now.

Not Jim he got his way and it had to be an isolated issue right I mean Jim has a book out saying how great he is and how he stands above the rest because Jim is so clean. Oops how does it feel to look in the mirror Jim? That is right to you Jim it feels no different because you got so good at being a liar to the university, the alumni and most of all yourself, all you saw was who you put in that farce of a book.

Jim stepped down as the coach of The Ohio State university because everything that has come out is the tip of a huge iceberg that is going to sink this titanic of a program and Jim cannot call ignorance because Jim knows what is coming do not be shocked when the things you start hearing would give the death penalties to most schools but Ohio State has clout and they may vacate some wins maybe a bowl game but here comes the BOOM.

Jim Knew all about it do not let the cries of duh dull the reality of a dirty program.

Top 10 Ways to become a WINNER.

1. No drinking adult beverages while making your wagers or during your handicapping process.

2.You must have a positive attitude and have a clear mind when handicapping or making your wagers. Have the ability to see the games played out in your mind which is another part of the handicapping process that I will go into with other articles.

3. Never make a wager on any sport when the spread, money line or odds are not in your favor. Example you just love the Boston Bruins in game 7 but they are -200 and you know that the other 6 games were close and in your heart of hearts you know that laying 200 is just to high but you make the wager anyways and over a calender year that will drive you to drink and clutter your mind so always have the odds in your favor or pass the play they have games 365 days a year sit and enjoy the game.

4. Money Management Money Management and Money Management, I know it boring to hear or read about but its a fact if you cannot manage your money then you will not be a winner. This means you do not bet 3 times the amount on your weakest play of the day just because you are losing for the day or worse butting 3 or 4 or even 5 times the amount on a game you were not going to play at all.

5. Never play on credit always play with your extra money or your bankroll which seems so simple and I am sure you have seen this before but you will not bury yourself ever if you do not play on credit. The only times I have seen people get in trouble betting on games is when they play on credit because playing on credit is not real somebody gives you 5000 credit when you know you only have 1000 in cash but because you have 5000 in credit you begin to believe that you have 5000 dollars and when your down over 1000 you will chase and chasing creates no money management, odds will not matter, your attitude will be nasty and you will drink until you forget.

6. Just like real estate location location location. Have as many outlets as possible, well what does that mean some of you will ask? It means when wagering on sports you want as many bookmakers as possible and if you are in Las Vegas you will go from one sportsbook to another finding the right number or money line, spread or odds is paramount to having long term profits 3 or 4 half point winners or pushes will change an entire day, week, month or season it all adds up.

7. Keep records and keep real records and not just plus this and minus that. Keep records for each sport everyday with a running record of wins and losses and daily totals. I keep these as units and we all have different unit sizes from 5 dollars to thousands for some folks. If you do not keep records this means you do not want to know the truth of what type of handicapper you are and what type of money management you have. I have clients that set up wonderful excel spread sheets and I am so old school that i simply use notebooks with a different notebook for each sport college and pro. This will allow you to know what is your winning percentage is for each sport along with how many units you are up or down and with this at your fingertips or computer screen you will start to really know your strengths and weaknesses. You will know if you do better with favorites or dogs, I know that I have hit over 60 percent of my NFL plays and average picking up 20 plus units every year and I know that I have many more NCAA plays but hit at 56% and pick up 15 to 18 units in college. I also know that I hit at close to 70 % of my College Bowl plays which sounds to high but I have done that for 15 years and that is one of my biggest money making times of the year and my clients know this as well. I also know that 80 % of my plays in all sports are underdogs which is I believe why I win because most people play about 80% favorites and that is what the books want the public to do.

8. No sucker plays. No parlays or teasers and no parlays or teasers and no parlays and or teasers one of the quickest ways to go broke. Now if you must and you just have to play a parlay or two then do just that no more then a two teamer. The other way you could go about it is really cut down the cost of a parlay, if you play 100 a game and its like a 5 team parlay then play it for 5 dollars and there is never a reason to play a teaser its the biggest sucker play there is and you will never get true odds on a parlay anyways so really no reason to do it.

9. Play to your own strengths. Some people love totals and others like the straight play but whatever it is make sure you have that loving feeling which ever you like best I know out of 100 play 95 will be on a side and maybe 5 would be on a total and I dont feel like I am missing out on anything at all playing that it also limits my plays to a lower number of plays when playing a lot of totals with sides you tend to play to many games and have the urge to play those in parlays which again that is not recommended.

10. One shameless tout here the best way to become a winner with no fuss or muss is to join the Sportsdevil team and let me do the 40 hours a week of handicapping and putting you on the winning sides and most of the time we are on the bookies side most of my clients hate my plays but most people have been with me long enough to realize the uglier the better. If you have any questions just email me.
